Research Programms of the Division


The Division has one institute-funded research project involving applied research on various aspects of Agricultural Engineering.

Project 1:

Development of precision engineering technologies for agricultural input production management and value addition to ensure profitability, sustainability and environmental safety

Objectives:-

  1. To develop innovative, ergonomically compliant devices, and precision equipment for enhancing input use efficiency and productivity of field and horticultural crops.
  2. To develop mechanical interventions and strategies for efficient crop residue management and environmental safety.
  3. To develop processes and technologies for post-harvest operations and value addition of selected millets, spices and fruits.
  4. To develop solar gadgets and devices for the production, processing and smart storage of high-value crops.
  5. Hydro-ecological investigations and design of hydraulic structures for efficient utilization of surface and groundwater.
